Since 1973, TJM 4×4 Accessories have earned a reputation for delivering tough 4WD equipment throughout Australia and the global market.
From design and engineering to manufacturing and distribution, TJM produce an extensive range of premium 4WD aftermarket accessories.
With further expansion planned, TJM 4×4 Accessories needed to upgrade its distribution centre and manufacturing facility to maintain its presence as a leader in the 4×4 industry.
Their brief to us necessitated a move from their old multi-building facility in Geebung QLD, to a state-of-the-art facility in nearby Brendale. A key goal of the facility upgrade was to ensure optimum service to their dealers Australia-wide was retained while allowing them to further manufacture and continue with R&D in Australia.
Drawing on our warehouse design and layout expertise we were engaged to provide pallet racking storage systems for the new warehouse facility. Part of TJM’s decision-making was the high level of service and our continued willingness to assist them from the start of the project through to its completion.
Our pallet racking system offered an optimal solution, in terms of structural design and costeffectiveness. The majority of the warehouse was fitted out with high-rise narrow aisle system with mesh decks to provide better warehouse storage space use with fewer aisles. Other areas in the facility included selective racking and workbenches. Featuring over 10km of lineal storage, the new facility prioritised staff safety as a key consideration and as such, the warehouse design provided safe pedestrian access and routes throughout the site.
Bowen Storage worked in conjunction with the team at TJM 4×4 Accessories to finalise a more efficient layout and design with numerous design enhancements. The finished warehouse project delivered optimum efficiencies in inventory management and productivity, in a safe operational environment for staff.
